Hardwood Artisans

I can no longer assume that it is great quality.

I was a Loft Bed customer (the name of the store owned by 2 guys that eventually became “hardwood artisans”).

Through the years, I have continued to buy thousands of dollars in what I believed and was assured were lifetime solid wood pieces of furniture. I didn’t like their new name (Hardwood Artisans) but nothing else changed about their beautifully finished work. Their customer service was second to none. It was a joy doing business with them.

Then, one day, only a few weeks ago, I learned that the 2 guys sold Hardwood Artisans. I was told that the stores are named “Hardwood Artisans” but they are now they are “independently owned”.

I called the Shirlington Store and I knew immediately something had changed when first a lady answered and then her alleged supervisor came to the phone. “I will hang-up if you don’t tell me what you want”, he said to me, among other things.

Then I called Rockville. The questions form a salesclerk in Rockville confirmed my fears. “Where did you buy the entertainment center? What store? How many years ago? Where is it in your house? Who moved it? What is wrong with it? Can you send a picture?”

If I spend thousands of dollars on another custom made cherry wood piece of furniture, it won’t be with Hardwood Artisans.
