Very Strange Bank

Hancock Whitney Bank Very strange. Never provided me with statements on my savings account and then they closed my account when I asked for the statements to be provided.

Still they have not provided any statements of the account and the account was open nearly a year!

They mailed the letter about their closing of the account four days after the date of the letter and then said in the letter that the account would be closed within 15 days of the date of the letter with the balance sent by mail.

Nearly a month has passed since the date of the letter and I haven’t received the balance of the account yet! Incredibly poor and even offensive service.

  1. RUN! RUN! RUN! They are AWFUL!!!!!!!

    UPDATE….NOW IT’S 4 OUT OF 6 TIMES that they applied it to the wrong part of the account!!! IF YOU WANT TOTALLY STUPID AND INCOMPETENT TELLERS THIS IS THE PERFECT BANK FOR YOU!!
    I do not understand WHY it is so difficult to make a PRINCIPAL ONLY PAYMENT. OVER AND OVER AND OVER again I go into the bank to make a PRINCIPAL ONLY Payment on my mortgage, say it repeatedly, they assure me it is going to only the principal and then I get my statement and they apply it to my monthly payment and the remainder to principal. This has happened 3 TIMES OUT OF 5!!!!!!!!!!!!! This bank is awful, how hard can it be, really???

  2. Do your own due diligence with care regarding this bank.

    The worst banking experience I have ever had in 30 years of business. After never missing a payment for four years and never being late the bank came down with threatening legal letters and a deceptively slick representative who misrepresented what the bank would and would not do. We had a good loan (for us) but a bad loan for them apparently.

    We cooperated but the employee was “just doing his job” in enforcing a very non-friendly, aggressive procedure. We will never bank with them again, and when asked we will relate our experience to others. When confronted with the facts, the employee simply became defensive. Do your own due diligence with care regarding this bank.

  3. Now TERRIBLE!!

    Hopeless! The bank supplied mail-in envelopes for depositing checks by mail, and has refused their own envelope, which are addressed to WHITNEY P.O. BOX 61260. The returned deposits are labeled “refused unable to forward”. When King Milling was president of the bank, it was a good bank. Now TERRIBLE!!

  4. Will never use Hancock Whitney again.

    This has been the absolute worst bank we have ever dealt with. Will never use Hancock Whitney again.
