Goldwater Bank

Worst experience ever!!!

I would AVOID at all cost, unless loss of the home purchase or refi is the goal! I have closed literally dozens of mortgages on many homes in the past few years. I could recommend many MTG companies Plaza Mtg, 360 Mtg, BOA, etc, but this is one to AVOID at all costs!!

They are incredibly disorganized, stringing out a list of requests over many weeks, several times a day asking for different items, or repeating the same request a few weeks later.

Expect to spend 80 plus hours at your desk sorting through their questions – but not at one sitting. They’ll dribble it out 3 or 4 times a day for a month or more.

Seems to lack any internal communication or common sense. They even wanted to know if I had a loan on a vacation rental from 25 years earlier!! REALLY!

These guys are a joke, create tremendous stress, and are most unprofessional. Not sure how they ever closed a loan without sending their abused client to the crazy farm!!

  1. Don't do it!

Do not work with Goldwater Bank N.A.

They talked me into refinancing my mortgage as I had a loan with them from years past that they had sold off.

They promised, IN WRITING, that by refinancing I would free up $3,1000 in excess escrow funds and that I would have within two weeks of closing. That was December 30th. This is April 29, and I never received the refund. They sold the loan already, and although I complained to the BBB and the Attorney General in my state formally, Goldwater sent me a final disposition letter telling me that they did nothing wrong, but that they sold my loan and it is my responsibility to pursue the buyer for those “excess” escrow funds. Obviously, I’m not done with them yet.
