If you like to be treated like a number and have countless errors on your return, Gary is your guy!
He does not take any accountability for his mistakes and all he does is offer credit on your next return… When you ask him about why certain things weren’t done, he stutters and responds with “I don’t know”.
So if you have questions and want clarity… Steer clear from his office!
One year they sent our tax files to the wrong address. Yes. That’s right.
They sent legal documents that contained confidential information to the wrong address. When we confirmed the mistake they made, he responded with “We all make mistakes.” Wow.
He offered a “credit” for the next return. I should have just stuck to my gut feeling and found someone else… But I gave him the benefit of the doubt… Foolishness on my part
This year, they filed late (without notifying us… I mean how hard is it to give your client a courtesy call?), Messed up on adding dependents, and failed to provide critical information that could have saved us from getting our taxes withheld.
When I asked him why he didn’t provide us with information in regards to our issue, he said I should have asked.
How am I supposed to ask about something that I don’t know what to ask about? Aren’t you the expert here? Aren’t we paying you for your service?
I’m done with this guy. At the end of our meeting today, he became irritated because I asked him 2 questions and commented I was “difficult” and threw the file on his desk.
Oh I’m sorry that I actually called you out on your negligence and your inability to answer any of the questions that I had.
You’re a grown man… Didn’t your mother teach you any manners?
It’s safe to say after his comments, things got ugly… We had an exchange of words and he wasn’t too happy with what I had to say… we won’t get into it…
Bottom line is this… Gary, you may consider yourself the “expert” in filing taxes… But I’m an expert at smelling bullshit*t. And you sir… REEK of it!
PS. He tends to fall asleep while meeting with you… Lol! Such a mult-tasker!
