Franklin American mortgage is competitive on their upfront rates, but are costing us dearly in the long run.

The way they process payments makes it difficult to manage and stay current with your account.

Departments do not communicate well with each other.

When calling customer service there are extended times on hold, dropped and disconnected calls, multiple transfers, and no resolution.

I deeply regret having two mortgages with Franklin American Mortgage.

    Just like everyone else, if I could give ZERO stars I would! This company has been absolutely horrible to deal with. My husband is a 60% disabled Veteran so we contacted them about getting the X amount of dollars off of our property taxes and after talking to multiple different people we talked to a supervisor( after waiting on hold 20 minutes each time, then 10 more for a supervisor, to be hung up on both times) the SUPERVISOR had no idea how to go about helping us.

    It’s been a nightmare trying to get our funding fee back. We haven’t even lived here two years and our monthly bill was $1434 to start out, 1.5 years later we are paying $1650. Seems like no one wants to do their job or doesn’t know how to do it.

    I’ve been on the phone with them so often I feel like I work for them. It’s been a NIGHTMARE. If your lender sells to this mortgage company, do whatever you can to switch! RUNNN!!

    This is the worst Mortgage Company or for that matter a company that I dealt with in 35 years that I have been a businessman .The Assumption Department of Franklin American Mortgage Company located in Ewing , New Jersey is at a minimum incompetent . My son bought a house and he after 3 years bought another house .

    I decided to assume his mortgage .I was finally able too after 6 months to assumed his mortgage . The lady handling the file was indifferent , never returned my phone calls , and would send me a letter once a month after my repeated phone calls .I have over a 8 credit rating and could easily paid off the mortgage , which would cost Franklin American a lot of profit .

    The service was so bad that I called the national Office and reported my complaint , they did call the Assumption office for me . I suggest that any company official who were to review this complaint set up a under cover operation and set up a person who is to assume a mortgage and see who you are treated and how many months it takes you to be approved . Document you file and emails and record your phone calls as they do and see how incompetent these people are .

    Absolutely no help whatsoever during Hurricane Florence and the aftermath. NOT prepared to work with their customers. Their way or tough s**t!!

    Franklin American has had our mortgage for 2 years now, and it has been a nightmare. Our mortgage was sold to them and its been a total nightmare. They lose payments, take payments twice .

    Customer service has lost several of our documents. If you can , please do anything to avoid working with this company. you will constantly be correcting their mistakes.
