This review pertains to their customer service only – the quality of pieces I purchased is fantastic and look beautiful.
The customer service at this Ethan Allen location leaves much to be desired. I received the wrong size bed (after waiting 8+ weeks). The designer acknowledged she mistakenly ordered the wrong size and tried to charge me the difference between the two sizes. She finally agreed to price match for what I was initially quoted. I asked if the new bed could be expedited and was told “no” and it would be another 8 weeks.
My issue with Ethan Allen is the lack of PROACTIVE communication from my designer and Ethan Allen management regarding my purchase. After eight weeks, I had to reach out to the designer for updates. I was given multiple dates of when my bed would be delivered to their warehouse and never received a follow-up explaining why things were delayed. I called the store and asked to speak with a manager but was referred back to my designer. It wasn’t until I reached out to Ethan Allen corporate that things started moving.
I understand that mistakes happen, and it was an honest mistake that my designer initially ordered the wrong size bed. I take issue with the fact that no one in a management position reached out to me to apologize for the error, or offer any explanation for the countless delays in delivering the correct piece. In total, it took 6 months to receive the correct bed. If I ever purchase from Ethan Allen again, it for sure will not be from this location.
