Equity Home Mortgage

UNREACHABLE, RUDE

DO NOT USE Equity Home Mortgage FOR A HOME MORTGAGE IN PORTLAND! Most importantly do not use JULEE FELSMANN.

I can say this is one of 3 reviews I have ever written in my life.

But it is so important that people do there research before using any Mortgage broker, let alone a referral!

I will start off by staying I met with JULEE, at Equity Home Mortgage Portland, over 4 months ago.

During that initial meeting, Julee told me and my husband that she is a helpful, communicative person, who takes great care of her clients. NOT THE CASE MY FRIENDS.

I am now 8 months pregnant, so not like I have nothing else going on in life.

But Julee assured me and my husband she would help us through this process and make it as simple as possible.

I know buying a home is complicated, this is my second home purchase. So I understand the ins and outs.

Here is the PROBLEM. Julee, whom I was referred to my my Broker at ReMax, Brad Wolfe….who also assured me that “she is the best in the biz”….should have known better after he said that.

Has been UNREACHABLE, RUDE, and has had a general LACK OF CONCERN OVER OUR MORTGAGE PROCESS AND TIMELINES.

I have gotten many emails, from Julee or one of her 3 different “TEAM MEMBERS” over the course of this process.

While I had ask Julee in writing over 4 times to please call me if she needs us to sign something pertaining to our loan.

Time and time again….I would get a random E-Sign email from a different person at Equity Home Mortgage, whom I had no clue who they were, or what I was even signing for?!!

Worst of all, I have asked 6 times for proactive communication on her end to help thought this process….NEVER DID THIS HAPPEN.

When ever Julee has called me back personally, its way after the end of the business day, 6:30 or 7:00pm where I no longer have email/printer access to even sign paper contract.

TODAY WAS THE WORST! My husband and I, 3 weeks away from our due date, are told we will close on our house finally after many, many delays on Monday 6/13/2016.

I got a call from Julee today at 6:30pm 6/10/2016. (Keep in mind we are signing our closing docs at the title company on Monday).

She tells me she wants to change our closing costs at the last min.

She goes to explain the credit that the seller gave us for our flooring. Would be an issue for us in closing our loan.

We had negotiated our closing fees and flooring credits over a month ago….so Julee has had this information for some time.

But the is how she operates….waiting until the last min, and having no regard for her clients.

At this point she tries to play me and my husband against each other.

-MY BEST ADVISE IS NEVER USE THIS COMPANY IN THE PORTLAND AREA FOR HOME MORTGAGE, NOT WORTH THE DRAMA, UN-RETURNED CALLS, AND LACK OF SERVICE OVER ALL!

Your home is the biggest purchase you will ever make.

To have someone not give you any effort at all is sad!

Specially when you consider how much they are paid!

RUN FOLKS!

  1. She is friendly and always had time to explain something if we didn't understand it.

I would give the highest praise possible to Julee Felsman, a Sr. loan consultant at Equity Home Mortgage. We have been looking for a house for a few years and have a special loan situation as we temporarily live overseas and my husband is British. Julee put a lot of work into finding us a loan and we didn’t end up buying the house. She basically did all that work for free.

This year we found another house that we would like to buy and after almost losing the house due to troubles with getting a loan through USAA (our bank) we asked Julee to help, which we should have done in the first place, knowing how great she was, but we erroneously thought that it was going to be a simple transaction though our bank and so we didn’t need an outside loan officer. Boy were we wrong! )

Julee was very efficient (even worked nights!) and put everything together and got us our loan in record time! She is always professional to work with and full of information. She keeps constant contact with you through the whole process and keeps it simple. She is friendly and always had time to explain something if we didn’t understand it.

  2. Never Again

I used Julee and her team to purchase my first home (a duplex), and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Confronting the process of buying a home can be daunting too say the least, but they really made it easy.

Julee was always quick to answer my questions (and there were a lot), and kept me on track each step of the way. The whole team is very polite, and keeps things moving in a timely manner.

She is also a wealth of information beyond things mortgage-based, and has been a great resource for all kinds of questions I’ve had about the Portland real estate game and realty in general. I can’t recommend she and her team enough, and will definitely use her for my future purchases.

  3. The lady there is rude and arrogant.

The lady there is rude and arrogant. One phone call is all it took for me to take my business elsewhere.

  4. I would recommend others to do the same.

I had the same exact negative experience as another reviewer here described. In fact, I too am baffled by some of these positive reviews. As far as promptness, professionalism, and communications go–there was none. I was talked down to on numerous occasions.

After my first meeting, I received no follow-up call or email. My only guess is that my income was not worth their while. I ended up going with a different mortgage firm and have had a far better experience. I would recommend others to do the same.
