Equifax

The Business Of Making Itself Is Lrrelevant

Equifax is supposed to be trusted with our credit information to show if we are creditworthy (trustworthy).

Yet the company gives away on 143000000 Americans Social Security numbers and other private information.

I say they give it away because if this company took security seriously, this never would’ve happened or they would’ve caught this way earlier.

Now anybody can apply for credit with those people’s information. If other people can apply for those peoples credit.

Then, what’s the point of credit Bureau that won’t have accurate information? I think this company is in the business of making itself is Irrelevant.

Thanks for giving my information away. you should be offering more than just some BS credit monitoring that your own company provides.

Like I can trust that that’s probably the next breach.

    DO NOT CHOOSE SINGLE PARTY!!!

Tried to lift a freeze on my credit to allow my credit union to pull a credit report for an auto loan. Choices for doing this are: lift for a single party to review, lift for a date range, or permanently lift. DO NOT CHOOSE SINGLE PARTY!!! When you log in, it says my freeze has been lifted. However, when the credit union tried twice it still said it had a freeze hold.

Nowhere in the letter I received when I placed the freeze, or their website indicate that by choosing this option, you will receive a letter in 5 to 10 business days with a PIN # to provide to the “single party”. Unless you want to wait for 3 weeks to get this letter with information on what to provide your lender and train them on logging into to a different system under Equifax Freeze then by all means, you might try it When I explained the situation to them, they indicated I did it wrong by listing “single party” and she explained the above process.

She then proceeded to place a date range hold for me, but charged me another $10!! When I explained no disclosure of what “single party” process was, i.e. 5 – 10 business days, etc. She still insisted I did it wrong. Not worth arguing over $10!
