Envoy Mortgage – Houston

THEIR Costly Errors

DO NOT DO BUSINESS! In 2008, Envoy Mortgage – Houston messed up our title paperwork.

Although our home was established for almost a year before we purchased it, they accidentally put the taxes down for an empty lot.

We were first time buyers and feel they completely took advantage of us. Since our monthly payment more than doubled, we were forced to refinance our loan (after only 9 months from closing) in order to resolve the issue.

Envoy/Crosstown Mortgage mortgage assured us all will be taken care of for the better.

We went from a conventional loan, putting 20% down on the home to Envoy/Crosstown Mortgage refinancing us to an FHA loan paying not only $2,300 mortgage insurance upon closing but another $7,000 during the past 8 years.

How did we go from a conventional loan owing $118k to a forced refinance to an FHA loan owing $132k plus mortgage insurance? Envoy/Crosstown Mortgage rolled in all the closing costs, etc. into our refinance.

They not only admitted to their own error, but PAID THEMSELVES AGAIN FOR IT and on OUR DIME!

We were unfortunate to find this out so much later.

I would highly suggest going elsewhere. They will mess up your title paperwork, then say they will “fix” it and then charge you on the back end.

If you are not well versed about home-buying, they will take full advantage as well.

I have contacted people and they are telling me I got a better deal during the refinance.

Again, how does going from a conventional loan owing $118k to a forced refinance to an FHA loan owing $132k PLUS $7,000 in mortgage insurance a better deal? Well, it was a better deal on their end since they got paid on the initial loan, messed up the paperwork, and got paid again on the forced refinance loan.

How unethical is that? If you still choose to do business with these crooks, good luck and make sure you have an attorney present on your behalf to prevent THEIR costly errors!

  2. Bad Service

Kristin with Envoy Mortgage made this home purchase go extremely smooth. Quick with answers and always there as I bumbled my way through the process.

Kristin was recommended through another Veteran turned realtor. Kristin understood the process and helped me get to the next phase of life for me and my Son.
