I made an appointment with the dentist Anatoly Bartov. I checked with my dental insurance company before my visit and I was told he was in the network. I checked with his receptionist and she assured me they were in my dental insurance network and I wouldn’t have to pay.
I only went there for a free annual routine cleaning. Now I am getting a statement from my insurance company saying this dentist is out of network and they billed over $500. Turns out they gave me another dentist without telling me!
I even got an email signed by Anatoly Bartov asking me to make another appointment. why am I getting emails from him if that is not the dentist I saw?
Be careful with this place, they were not honest and this is insurance fraud. When I complained they said they won’t charge me, just my insurance company, but now I don’t know if I can trust them.
In reply to Anatoly Bartov’s message below:
No, in our conversation we did not conclude that I made a mistake understanding the statement. The statement clearly says OUT OF NETWORK. I am posting it here so you can read it yourself. My insurance company confirmed this via telephone. You said you would not charge me the remaining amount of $118. but you charged my insurance company out of network for a dentist I did not make an appointment with, and you charged for four X-rays I didn’t want and he said they were free. Now I may have to wait 6 months to 1 year before I am eligible to get X-rays from another dentist to fix a cavity.
