I went to Edward Shin with a ruptured Achilles tendon. I had three visits that consisted of a different 22 year old doing the pre-interview and him trying his best to spend as little time with me as possible. He said I arrived too late after the accident to do anything about the rupture and sent me to 8 weeks of physical therapy. Nothing improved; and I told him I couldn’t spend the rest of my life a cripple.
He said there was a procedure they do at UCSF that might work, but he didn’t personally do it. I went to UCSF where the surgeon just shook his head when I described Dr. Shin’s approach to my treatment and the surgical procedure he thought I needed. They fixed the tendon. Please, if you have this injury get to UCSF quickly and don’t waste time at Shin’s office.
