The Worst Customer ServiceDo not…I repeat DO NOT use this bank for financing a mortgage. I decided to go with a small local bank because I figured I would get better service, but be paying a little bit more as a tradeoff.
Wow, I was mistaken. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in any industry.
I worked with a mortgage broker named Chris who never returned any of my phone calls or emails, blatantly lied to me over the phone about starting a file and was rude anytime we spoke.
He would also complain to me that he was really “busy” working 9 hour days and had to eat lunch in his office.
Is that really something you want to tell a customer of yours? Finally, after weeks of Chris telling me that he didn’t want to do the mortgage, but “no one else in the office knew how to do it,” I was fed up and contacted the president of the bank.
They did some digging and realized absolutely nothing was done by Chris.
To try and make things right, they tried to do a 15 day closing, but to no avail.
If the file was started when I was originally told, then I would have been able to close on a property that I’ve now lost.
