Dealing with Eagle Home Mortgage – Dallas was one of the worst experiences of my life.
Submitting and RESUBMITTING information multiple times and they lost it or “couldn’t find it in the portal” was beyond frustrating.
Our repetitive phone calls, emails and texts, regarding the status of our loan, were NOT returned as we kept approaching our deadline for closing on our house.
We were either ignored or unimportant enough to get a response.
Their customer service is, by far, the worst we have dealt with in many years.
We were in prequalifying mode and determining which type of loan we were going with.
They were supposed to get back with us 3 weeks before our closing date and didn’t get back with us until less than a week before our closing even calling us at 9:30 pm on a Friday night asking us to get a loan we share with our daughter, put into our name on a Saturday when the bank was closed This sent us scrambling for additional information that was PACKED and ready for our move.
After we had submitting all of the necessary documents, we were then forced to unpack boxes and resubmit forms and docs that were “Missing” or in some cases the “edge of the paper” was not visible, even though there was no information on the “edge of the paper”.
Long story short, by closing, which was delayed almost 3 hours, as we had to catch our flight back to our state we were moving from, I was so stressed out that I was in tears and was told by their agent, “this is all about you”.
Blame shifting is never a good approach especially when it’s YOUR MONEY and YOUR HOME and THEIR negligence.
I plan to warn everyone I know who is looking to buy in the DFW area and I WOULD NOT recommend them to ANY of my friends, companies I deal with or any real estate company who uses them and wants to have a positive experience at, what is supposed to be, a happy time in home buying.
Make sure your agent doesn’t use Eagle, unless you want to bring a few Xanax with you to get through all of the stress of obtaining your loan.
Very sad experience for us. Our realtor, however, was amazing and was equally as frustrated as we were. I’m not sure Eagle even deserves one star.
