Dr. Patrizia Showell
Disrespect
I’ve been going to Dr. Patrizia Showell for the past 14 years. Unfortunately, today was my last day that I will ever go to see her again.
I got in a pretty severe car accident over the summer. I was actually rear-ended by a speeding semi truck. I have been having some visual impairments ever since the accident.
I also wanted to ask her her opinion on what could be causing the visual impairments and I also wanted to just do a post follow up.
It had been a few months since the accident. She couldn’t have been more dismissive.
She told me right away that my visual impairment had nothing to do with the car accident at all.
I’ve never had these problems prior to the accident. So I thought they were related.
Make sense right? She actually told me that I should go see an eye doctor because it wasn’t I related situation and not the accident. OK fair enough.
It was her overall demeanor that was the big deal breaker for me. She acted as if I was a nuisance to her.
Sighing and rolling her eyes. Also, talking down to me quite a bit. I’ve never been treated like that by her before.
It’s sad to part ways with her, but I won’t be disrespected like that again.
