Dr. Miranda Raymond

Worst Medical Experience

Our experience with Dr. Miranda Raymond’s office was the single worst medical experience I’ve had in 33 years.

We were assigned Dr. Miranda as a PCP by our HMO. I called a couple of weeks ago to make an appointment for our 2 year old’s physical.

Due to extenuating circumstances (including all four of my children contracting whooping cough), we missed her Friday afternoon appointment.

This is not something we have ever done before (missing an appointment).

I called first thing Monday morning to apologize and reschedule, but was told that my daughter would not be seen as a patient any longer because she had missed the appointment.

I then let the office know my other children needed to be tested for whopping cough and was told that Dr. Miranda would not see any of my children ever because we missed that initial appointment.

Not only was I not advised of this policy when I scheduled the appointment, I did not receive a reminder call about the appointment prior to Friday (which would have helped me in the midst of all of the whooping cough hysteria), Ultimately, my children (who later tested positive for whooping cough) had to wait several days to receive medical care while we went through the red tape of having our insurance change our PCP.

Furthermore, the callous indifference with which they treated us was truly shocking.

I was aware at the inconvenience of a missed appointment and apologized profusely, assuring them that this was totally uncharacteristic behavior and would never be an issue in the future.

But we were not even given the courtesy of his consideration, even after our health insurance company attempted mediation on our behalf.

Ultimately, I am thankful we do not have Dr. Miranda as a doctor because I can only imagine the manner in which he treats his patients.

I cannot emphasize enough our disgust and disappointment for this doctor, office and entire experience and have no problem writing this review (which incidentally, is the first negative review I have ever written for an individual or business).

I would unequivocally advise anyone looking to obtain his services to reconsider. Good luck!

  4. Unbelievable

  5. We didn't even owe anything. Insurance had paid everything.

We had an issue with our insurance and we explained to the staff that our insurance was handling the matter. Staff asked the doctor if he could see my 4 month old child which he needed his shots, and he said until they did not get paid they would not see my child. I was so hurt and disappointed that a physician would be more concerned for 100.00 than the well being of my child. This was the second time they had rescheduled his appointment. He will be almost 5 months by the time he gets his shots. We will be going somewhere else. I would have understood if the doc cMe out and gave his face instead of sending his staff. Also,

I would have understood if he had seen my child but warned us if by next appt the office was not paid then he wouldn’t see him. That’s fair because at the moment he cared for my child and I understand it’s business. We figured out the issue and their billing dept is all screwed up and turns they owe us more than 100.00. We didn’t even owe anything. Insurance had paid everything.

  7. WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO GIVE ZERO STARS.

Both my children have been seeing dr. Miranda for 4years, and I’ve had many problems with himself and staff. Long story short my daughter was kicked out of the practice on Monday, because my mother in law was upset with the rude staff.

Yes you herd right.. My MOTHER IN LAW.. But they decide to discard my child over something she didn’t do.. So this morning I went into the office after being hung up on twice by his unprofessional staff, to have the police called on me just because I wanted my children’s medical records….
