Dr Melvin Ashford

It is been almost three months that I decided to write about my experience with Dr. Melvin Ashford and his clinic Minnesota Women’s care clinic. It was a very bad experience and I would advise every expecting woman to stay away from this doctor. I am sure dr. Melvin is mostly behind money making instead of helping pregnant ladies deliver their babies safely.

The first mistake that I made was I did not research much about dr. Melvin. Looking at few 5 star reviews I took my decision. I must have checked all the bad reviews beyond those few nice ones. Anyway, let me explain what happened.

I was consulting another doctor and he was very nice and experienced. However, his clinic was far and I needed to travel to the clinic all by myself when my husband was not around. For those reasons, I changed my doctor. The clinic looked nice and the doctor seemed decent when I first consulted him. This was my first pregnancy and I wanted to ensure that the hospital and other facilities were proper and best to my knowledge.

Although I made sure to eat healthy and tried to keep proper movements for staying active, in third trimester, I got preeclampsia. According to the plans, I was provided a date for 37th week for labour induction. Because of the problem, my blood pressure was rising higher and higher and the platelets count was decreasing. After checking my case, dr. Melvin convinced me to go for surgery. However, the American Pregnancy Association states that he should have tried labor induction first in my case before suggesting for surgery.

But Dr. Melvin did not pay attention to my condition and only to earn some extra money, he convinced me for surgery. He almost got me killed during the surgery too. My condition was very critical and it was all because of him. He failed to diagnose my condition properly. Dr. Melvin Ashford only knows how to make extra money from his patients. I have never consulted a doctor like him in my entire life.

I really request all of you out there waiting for the good news to avoid this scammer. I should have understood it before. When I later checked the reviews, I came to know that there were many bad reviews against him, hiding below the few good ones.

This doctor is a threat to his patients. I have realized that he usually recommends patients for surgery even if the labor is possible. I met few ladies in the hospital and they had the same story. Some of them even had to go through even worse situation than mine.

While I am still scared of remembering the delivery that happened at this doctor’s clinic, I want everyone to know my story so that they don’t have to go through the same hell as I went through. Please share my experience to as many women as possible. No soon to be mother deserves a doctor like Dr. Melvin Ashford.
