Dr. Maria Samsonov

Horrible Office

Horrible office. Receptionists are too busy to call back and unable to answer simple questions.

She is always extremely late for home visits. Poor bedside manner.

Could not call back the coroner for 3 days after my mom passed away.

I had to repeatedly call the office to ask that she call back so her body could be released and the death certificate signed.

She told me she didn’t know that my mom was her patient! Really? no one could look up her name to verify she was her patient? ridiculous!

Too many patients, not enough time. She just wants lots of patients yet has zero time to really care for them and find out what they need.

Recommended hospice to my 98 year old grandmother although she is pretty healthy and sharp as a tack.

Stay away from Dr. Maria Samsonov and the office.

  1. I would be back with her in a heartbeat.

When my longtime PCP, the late Bill Parmer, got too sick to practice any longer, the last good thing he did for me was steer his patients to the medical group where I found Maria Samsonov. While she seems to have found a couple of loonies in these reviews, I would like to add my opinion to the overwhelming majority who have found her exceptional.

It is true that she is often a bit late, but by the second or third visit, I got it – she’s running late because she’s spending as much time with her previous patients as she is with me. And in the medical practice world of today, I will GLADLY pay some waiting time in order to get the amount of time, attention, and effective intervention that I ALWAYS got from Dr. Samsonov.

After about 18 months in her care, I was truly crushed when she departed for the Kaiser system, and in spite of bad Kaiser experiences 30 years ago, I still am considering transferring my coverage there just to have her back in charge of my care.

And I make sure to follow her career every open-enrollment season for the same reason. If Kaiser and the Peninsula worked for me, I would be back with her in a heartbeat.

  2. That can happen.

She is the most caring, conscientious physician you will ever meet. Once you go to her, no one compares. She is straight forward, has an amazing fund on knowledge, and can explain it all in simple terms. She tends to run behind but if you treat people like people, that can happen.
