Dr. Liddell Marti
The Worse ExperienceI went to Dr. Liddell Marti for 5 years without a problem, until this year. Granted, all of my experiences with her have been rushed and we never had a lot of face time together.
This year’s yearly check up was completely different. I turned 30 before my appointment with Dr Liddell.
Before my birthday I had an appointment with my gynecologist and discussed that I’m not ready to have kids yet but wanted to make sure I had time to make my mind up still.
She assured me I still have time and nothing to worry about. During my check up with Liddell, she asked if I planned on having children now that I’m 30.
Liddell doesn’t do my well-woman exams, but I let her know that I recently had one done with my gyno and we discussed that my husband and I are still debating kids.
Liddell then told me I didn’t have time to “debate” it and if I wanted to get pregnant I needed to do it now.
I told her that I had been told that I still had time to make my mind up by my other doctor.
Liddell argued me and insisted that I didn’t have time. I later scheduled another appointment with my gyno to talk this awful experience over and she was floored.
It was an unprofessional experience that set me into anxiety for no reason.
I have since found a new GP, one that doesn’t pressure me into huge life choices without medical backing.
My last experience with Liddell was the worse experience I’ve ever had with a doctor.
