Dr. Jenny Tan

Dr. Jenny Tan Is Not Personable

Dr. Jenny Tan is not personable and doesn’t take the time to listen. Another reviewer mentioned she talks fast.

To me she came across like a robot reading from a textbook.

Not only talks fast but also without a break so it’s hard to remember what question I wanted to ask after she was done with her whole speech.

I brought up 2 concerning symptoms on my previous visit and she brushed them off saying they were normal or not health related.

She didn’t ask any additional questions. I asked my friends who are physicians and they all said it is not normal and that I should tell my doctor.

I was ONE minute late to my last appt. Granted it was one minute past the 15 min grace period but ONE minute due to traffic.

Appt at 4:15pm, parked at 430, jogged to the door and waited for the receptionist to see me and pull up my record 431.

Receptionist went back to talk to Dr. Tan, came back and let me know Dr. Tan would not see me because I was past the 15 min grace period.

I had driven 50 mins to get there. I called to let them know I was on the way.

Would’ve been nice to know if I was one min late Dr. Tan would not see me.

Dr. Tan wouldn’t even take one question. A different older African American front desk lady tried to explain I only had a 15 min appt so the Dr was already with her next patient.

I have a 15 min appt and a 15 min grace period to show up so if I was one minute earlier she would have still seen me for 15 mins? That’s a 30 minute window.

And when I called the office another day they let me know Dr. Tan takes her last patient of the day between 3-415pm.

That means she wouldn’t have a 430 appt. I’m pretty sure the other receptionist wouldn’t go back twice to ask Dr. Tan if she’ll see me if she was with another patient.

I understand doctors can’t keep accommodating patients who show up late since it’ll make other patients wait longer.

But I knew I was the last appt. And my visit wouldn’t have taken more than 5 mins.

Both my appts were at the end of the day so maybe Dr. Tan is just lazy and heartless when she wants to leave.

I would say zero stars, but the office is new/clean, staff is efficient, easy to schedule appts on MyChart, and there’s a blood draw lab in the office.

MyChart also makes it easy to find a new doctor. 🙂

  2. This was the WORST doctor visit I have ever experienced.

This was the WORST doctor visit I have ever experienced. And I did not even see a doctor. I am a NEW patient and I wanted 3 weeks for an appointment. I recently moved to a new location and I have been in desperate need to see a doctor. I was 30 minutes late to my appointment that was at 3:30 on Friday December 1st.

The only reason I was late because the address on this Yelp page is INCORRECT. I went to the WRONG location. Once I finally arrived to the office. The receptionist told the DR. that I had arrived and was late because I was LOST. (Yes, I was lost because your page has the INCORRECT address listed.)

The Dr. had the receptionist tell me to write down the reasons for my visit on a piece of paper to protect my confidentiality…..once I walked away she announced my reasons to the DR. out loud over the phone. (not sure what the reasons was to write down my issues if she was just going to announce them out loud anyways…..kinda pointless.)

After, the receptionist told the Dr. my reasons for my visit shes asked me to choose ONE issue that is the most important.
