Dr. Huy Phan MD

Nice Doctor But Is Not Very Competent

Although Dr. Huy Phan may seem like a good doctor, he is not very skilled.

Although Dr. Huy Phan quickly prescribes drugs, he is not great at diagnosing.

My wife suffered from a pinched nerve. He treated her several times, believing she was making it up.

He was also my primary for my physicals, and he left a lot to be desired.

It’s just sitting there and discussing, but very little is done.

If you have a medical condition, it is not a good experience.

The billing at this location was also confusing as my wife and I both requested the same laboratory test and were then charged two different rates.

After seven years of being here, we have decided to change our insurance and leave this place.

There is a high demand for doctors, so you don’t have much choice.

However, if you are ever sick, make sure you get a second opinion. Dr. Phan has let us down many times.

  1. He just said that sounds correct and I kept along the plan but never explored my situation on his own.

I was so upset that I created an account. Phan was my primary care provider for eight years, and I was in good health for the majority of that time. I saw Phan after a visit to urgent care. I was then given a treatment plan. He said it was correct, and I continued to follow the procedure. However, he never explored my specific situation.
The insurance company stopped my treatment because I had exhausted my allowance under my plan. They said it could be resumed if my doctor intervenes and talks to the insurance company. Phan didn’t clarify that I was really in pain and offered no alternative treatment options.

I expected that the person who has been seeing me for more than eight years would be more involved and not just treat me as if I was making up things. Phan will not be there for you if you don’t know the cause of your pain and aren’t able to consult with the insurance company’s doctor.

  2. Dr. Phan is friendly, efficient, and professional.

Dr. Phan was friendly, efficient, professional. He treats you as a person and not just as a machine on a production line. He is very patient with me and has helped me understand my options and progress. He is also great at communicating electronically about issues that do not require an actual visit (prescription renewals, etc.).

  3. Dr.Phan is my PCP and a fine one at that.

My PCP is Dr. Phan, and he’s a great one. Healthcare Partners has been my provider for more than 30 years, and I’m glad they are.

  4. Dr. Phan would seem like a nice doctor but is not very competent

Although Dr. Phan may seem like a good doctor, he is not very skilled. Although he is quick to prescribe drugs, he is not great at diagnosing. He treated my wife with a pinched nerve. We visited him many times. He didn’t believe that her arm was numb and treated it like she had made up the problem. He was also my primary physician for my physicals. They leave much to be desired.
It’s a lot of sitting around and discussing, but very little is done. It was not a good experience, especially if there was something wrong. The billing at this location was also very confusing. My wife and I requested the same laboratory test and were then charged two different rates.

After seven years, we have decided to change our insurance and leave this place. There are many doctors available, so you may not have the option of choosing. However, if you get sick, make sure you get a second opinion. Dr. Phan has repeatedly let us down.
