I was disappointed by my experience with Dr. Dan Kalshan.
I went to Dr. Kalshan for a routine physical and he sent me to a lab to have some blood work done.
I was supposed to hear back in 2-3 weeks about the results of the lab tests.
A month later I still hadn’t heard anything, so I called Dr. Kalshan’s office.
Nobody answered the phone, the voice mailbox was full, and the message did not indicate that he was on vacation or out of the office.
I called a week later and the receptionist answered the phone.
I told her that I hadn’t heard back about the results from my lab tests, so she looked up the results, read them for a couple of minutes, and then told me that everything looks fine to her.
It’s great that she thinks I’m fine, but it’s hard for me to believe that I shouldn’t be discussing my lab results with the doctor rather than the receptionist.
Also, I did not perceive Dr. Kalshan to be very competent as many of the other reviewers did.
Webmd.com was more helpful to me than Dr. Kalshan about one particular problem that I asked him about.
When I looked up his medical school, I found that it ranks in the bottom third as far as the average MCAT score of its incoming students.
I will not go back to Dr. Kalshan.
