I have accompanied my father to visit Dr. Arthur S Chin a couple of times, and I did not find him to be patient and professional.
My father has a few elderly friends who are also his patients and they shared the same experience.
Dr. Chin is loud and condescending when speaking to his non-English speaking elderly patients.
He does not make much eye contact when speaking to his patients.
He is not thorough with his prognosis and it almost cost the life of my father.
He is a cardiologist who doesn’t have the “heart” for his patients. How sad!
I wish he realizes that he is not just running a bad business, he is dealing with peoples’ lives.
The only reason why my father continues to see him is because he doesn’t know any other good cardiologist who can speak Cantonese in the Bay Area.
Besides, he doesn’t want to interfere with my work schedule by switching to a monolingual doctor.
