Donohoo Auto

Truly disappointed

I was extremely disappointed in my experience at Donohoo Auto ! I bought a car from them 10 years ago, when they were small and attentive.

Fast forward to the present, I used Auto Trader to identify what I wanted and saw that Donohoo had a large selection.

I arrived mid day on a Saturday, the lot was a mad house! Parking was hectic with a stream of cars and not enough room for them to navigate.

I was looking for a SUV and there is no signage for directions.

After walking all over, I found them, but to my dismay not one single car had information on it.

This forced me to try and get a sales person, but the line for a sales person was very long.

Compared to my experience at Drivers way and Susan Schein, this was just awful.

All the selection in the world is worthless if you don’t run a customer friendly business!

Truly disappointed.

  1. They told me they were OUT OF IT.

Long story short, had to be towed to shop. I was told there were metal shavings in the oil and I would need a new motor. I was devastated I just paid $14,000.00 for a vehicle that is useless. I called Donohoo to see what they could do to help me.

They told me they were OUT OF IT. I asked to have Manager call and never heard a word nor would he return my calls. Where is the integrity of this business. I hope you are able to sleep at night, because I sure don’t since I will be paying for a vehicle for years that won’t run and have no transportation to my 2 jobs.

  2. Buyer Beware or Stay Away !

Buyer Beware or Stay Away ! Being a young adult this was my first purchase to obtain credit. Boy, this was a hard listen learned. I chose Donohoo from reviews and being such a large dealer for as long as they have been in business , along with what seemed to be top quality vehicles. Not to mention the customer service they advertise .

Yes, it was a used vehicle and no warranty, but again trusting the quality advertised. Purchase was very easy and quick, I was very pleased and loved my new BMW. A month later going to my 2nd job I’m in the middle of busy intersection turning when all lights come on and car locks up. I was in a very dangerous situation with cars zipping all around.

  3. they are not as honest as they want you to think..

Beware buying a car from Donahoo they sold me a car and neglected to tell me the mileage was inaccurate on my title… I called Jay manager 3 times and he would not return my call… wonder why. …………….. Think twice before you buy a car from them, they are not as honest as they want you to think..

  4. If I did my experience would have been worst. Never again

AVOID this dealer at any cost I called this company to purchase Mercedes Benz e-400 Their customer service is the worst they don’t communicate with you not even retuning you call on timely manner the sales manager has no clue on customer service.

they run my credit and got me approved and when I am about to make the down payment they sold the car to the highest bidder completely Unprofessional. I am glad I did not buy this car from them. If I did my experience would have been worst. Never again

  5. I drove from North Georgia to Pelham, Alabama.

I drove from North Georgia to Pelham, Alabama. Met a salesperson (very rude and unprofessional) and looked at the car we had noticed advertised on the internet. We notice the looked a little out of line, but figured it was in a minor collision.

Like fools, after being smarted off to we purchased the vehicle (one of the biggest mistakes of my life). We start on our way home and it sounded like the car was hitting speed bumps in the road. We took it back and they put a set of used tires on the car and said the issue was water in the tires (2nd sign of a wreck-car had set outside with flat tires from where it had been wrecked).

The car drove better on the way home. after about two months, I noticed that they tires did not wear even. The car had basically been hit so hard on the left front that is should have been a totaled vehicle. They buy wrecked vehicles and have them repaired. Go to a real dealership and spend the extra $1,000. This place is a nightmare and I seriously can’t believe they are still in business.
