Took both our cars to get inspected first thing Saturday morning. I was really lucky that the gentlemen at my lane was courteous and efficient and even asked me to stay in the car with my toddler. While my husband who was on the next lane experienced something else.
The technician kept saying he couldn’t find a plug and when my husband asked him what he meant by plug, he was irritated and failed him immediately and said “he was not going to look for the plug on the dashboard”.
I then took the car to my mechanic and found out by plug he meant the DLC. For many newer vehicles, this is located on the left side under the steering wheel but since our car is almost 10 years old, it was located on the right and that was the way the design was.
He didn’t even bother to look further and now after a trip to my mechanic, I have to make a second trip to the inspection station.
