Cotswold Medical Clinic

I Am Really Disappointed

Turned Away——-My mother and I recently moved to Charlotte and of course wanted to find a good doctor for our care.

I called Costwold Medical Clinic and the first question I was asked was what insurance did we have.

I replied Midicare. “Oh we really aren’t accepting medicare patients.

The first available appointment wouldn’t be until June 2013” (it is Dec. 2012).

I just turned 65 so this is my first experience with being treated as indigent or second class.

My mother is 89 and has heart and circulatory problems but had no problem with finding excellent treatment in VA but here in NC apparently what insurance you have determines the quality of care you can hope to receive.

I am truly afraid for her and where we will have to go.

The Costwald Group is close to home and had wonderful reviews but apparently they don’t care to provide treatment unless you are heavily insured. I am really disappointed.

  1. i'm sorry you've had to wait so long i probably would have stayed.

like the doctors but i can not stand the fact that they make you wait 30-1.5 hours after your appointment time. and NOBODY apologizes for making you wait. my time is precious too.

I changed PCP because of this. when i would ask how much longer til my appt they would blow me off without a single word of apology. if they had once said i’m sorry you’ve had to wait so long i probably would have stayed.
