As a mother, please be warned about this place. We are a couple in transition and rented furniture while we are trying to figure out where we want to live permanently now that our child is in college. We had no problems with Cort until it was time to return the furniture. This was our second time returning furniture (returning the rest of the furniture pieces), no problems returning a chair and floating rug the first time. However, the second time around was terrible. We kept the beds, a foam gel mattress and regular mattress, covered in water proof and stain proof covers (as we always have with our beds). We checked our furniture, vacuumed it and prepared it for the pick-up crew. We did not see any stains or damages. The pick-up crew did not present any papers saying they noticed anything either. Only had to sign an acknowledgement of pick-up. (The first time, there was pet-hair, so when they check, I was warned I may be charged for pet-hair, told how much and signed a paper for it). The following day, I received a terrible e-mail from Cort stating that they found a “stain” on the foam gel mattress and they are charging my credit card $477. They also attached a close up fuzzy picture of some sort (that clearly was not of our mattress since it was dated from January 5, 2016 and we just had the furniture picked up July 18th 2016)! of what is supposed to be the stain. Mind you, this is the mattress that stays in our child’s room– the one who is away in college and is barely home, the mattress that stays covered in a mattress cover and we checked before they picked up. I called my credit card and they said they would not allow the charge to go through. However, a couple days later, my credit card was charged as “Ort” furniture… without the “C”, yup! So this is a headache I have to seek legal assistance and dispute.
Something I don’t think anyone should have to go through. Just an FYI. There are other furniture rental companies out there… please pick another place!
