Terrible Service
I had been going to Columbia St Mary’s Family Health for 2-3 years.
Their medical staff was friendly and helpful, but I rarely got the same nurse/doctor because of availability.
The front desk staff were not friendly or helpful, I would cal to remind them to have my prescription ready and then still have to wait 20min when I got there.
My warning to current or new patients is to always ask and be aware of their updated policy’s.
I have been prescribed a certain medication for the past 8 years and one time when I went to pickup the prescription, they told me that in order to get the prescription I needed to take a mandatory drug test to make sure I was still taking the medication.
All I had to do was pee in a cup, and then they gave me the prescription.
I had never needed to do this in the past, NEVER in my 8+years of being on this medication.
What they failed to tell me was the cost of the “drug test” which was just pee in a cup.
I later got a bill for $900, which is absolutely ridiculous.
And my insurance would not cover it because it was labeled as a drug test.
So although this facility was requiring that I take the drug test as a NEW MANDATORY practice, I was not told that it would cost me anything, especially an arm and a leg.
If a mandatory test like this was anything over $50 why would the medical staff withhold that information? The issue was never resolved as every time I would call they would re-direct me to another person and there was nothing they could do about the issue.
Terrible service and billing standards.
The medical staff had failed at informing their patients about the cost related to the test and I believe that this will happen again if patients are not careful.
You have been warned. Save yourself the headache and go to a different clinic.
I never received a surgery in this system.
After this, and having been insulted by an older Dr. in a separate appointment (not the one that I liked) w/ poor bedside manner, I vowed never to go here ever again. It creeps me out that they have access to all my records too, and who knows what could come up in the future when applying for health insurance if they put wrong info. in my file. If I could do anything else about all of this stuff…
I would. But, writing a review to let others know that this is a very unprofessional location is a step. It makes me question CSM’s as a whole as well. From there on out, I’ve avoided making any appointments at any of their facilities– even the new nice ones.
It’s a poor reflection on them and they haven’t done anything to correct for it. You just get swallowed up in the system. Thank God I never received a surgery in this system.

If I could give this particular clinic a huge negative rating, I would. I have been here a multitude of times, due to the fact that I was encouraged to see a resident here who had trained another Dr. that I knew.
The resident I saw, was good. Nothing wrong there. I would keep seeing that Dr. if re-located somewhere else or outside of CSM.
