Charm City Movers

I still have heard nothing from the company owner or anyone else

All of the boxes were packed the same way and the only people who moved the boxes were the movers. The boxes could have been placed down too hard without showing any visible damage to the boxes. One of the boxes in question had some damage to one of the top corners.

Felix continues to blame me for the damages because of the way I packed them as stated in her response. If that were true, since all of the boxes were packed in the same way, you would assume all of the glasses, dishes, etc. would have been damaged.

I hired Charm City Movers because I thought they were professional and responsible instead of hiring random people with trucks. The results were very upsetting and disappointing. I still have heard nothing from the company owner or anyone else there. Buyer beware.

  1. Never again!

All these movers cared about was how quickly they could get the job done. When complaining to Felix(don’t know her (title) but when I told her about all the problems that happened, she turned what I told her into a totally different scenario and tried to make it all my fault. For example, it was my fault there was marker on my mattress because I used marker to label my boxes. I could write from her for pages but I will save you all the misery that I endured. Save yourself some heartache and find another mover.

  2. What an awesome experience!

What an awesome experience! From my first phone inquiry to saying goodbye to the movers, it was a pleasure. Used Charm City for a pick up and delivery of very large, heavy furniture and will be using them again for any moves,

including whole house. So professional–what could have been a disaster was a delight. I cannot recommend any company more highly.

  3. Dont Use this Company

Later Gator! Move-day high-jinx. “charm” your $$ and any good feelings 4 ur move. Sayin goez: “fish stink from the head down”. Sweet talk….nice emails before move a trick….

Cindy Felix and handy-man owner turn 2 Godzilla move day and ever after. Contract? What contract? Men don’t like bosses cuz they pay peanuts. Begging 4 tipz. Oops!

Look at this “price-jack”? u got too many “extraz” ### boxes U R over the quote! Greedy move day jack-up. Cuz they get a percentage of move. Scam is up. Werz ALL my boxes? Haha!

We didn’t see them and we wont’ move it…tuff luck 4 U! Bye! we are taking our truck and you won’t get your stuff unless you pay $$$. I am a fair dude but this is a racket…be warned.

  4. DO NOT USE CHARM CITY MOVERS

DO NOT USE CHARM CITY MOVERS (ccm). Bottom line: for a company that offers a guarantee price, you WILL NOT get a guarantee from them, and you WILL receive poor customer service.

I emailed ccm telling them about all of the furniture that I had and that I was looking to move on 8/13/2016. They told me that they have a minimum price of $400 and based on our conversation and my email,

I had so little furniture that they could move one of my TV’s (I was willing to move both to save $) plus all my furniture and I still would not be above the minimum. They said this amount of $400 was all I would pay and reassured me of this multiple times.

The day of, they got to my house and saw my sectional and told me that they had not been informed I had a sectional and it would cost be an EXTRA $120. TOTALING $520. I had no choice (I am a single girl) and had to agree.

  5. do not use them to move pianos.

do not use them to move pianos. They spent 3 hours trying to get my upright piano upstairs out of basement. I even had someone from Charm City movers come beforehand to see how difficult the job would be and they took the job. The steps were messed up, and part of the side of the piano was damaged.

They could not get the piano out and then had to take it back down the steps to basement. They said they could come back if I got rid of this little wall in front of steps. The piano did get down there many years ago with the same wall there. They didn’t charge me though, but asked to give the movers 50 each, which I did.

Another company I cold called (who declined to do the move)said to call Congressional Piano movers. In 30 minutes they had the piano up and in their truck. It shows you the difference right there.

  6. Charm City Movers is Not Good Service Provide

Seriously disappointed in Charm City Movers. I requested a quote to load my already packed 1 bedroom apartment into a Uhaul that I provide. Just load…nothing else…and they quoted me $952!!!

This is an outrageous amount of money for this small of a job. My apartment even has an elevator so it’s not like they would be going up and down stairs. Ridiculous.
