I agree with Brett B. I was lied to by CFO Rick and charged for work I did not agree to, above and beyond the “retainer” I was already paying.
When I refused to pay the bogus charges, CFO Rick threatened to take me to collections, knowing I did not have the time or money to fight him.
I had no choice but to give in to their demands. Additionally, I found CFO Rick’s work to be full of errors.
I’m still getting notices about penalties for underpayments in quarterly fillings due to their miscalculations, and delinquent notices for filings that were never made.
When I approached CFO Rick about these issues he told me that his other clients had “no problem paying” whatever he decided to charge them, as if that was the best justification he had.
I can understand where his clients that don’t have any finance experience and never paid much attention to their financials might not notice these errors, as CFO Rick would receive the delinquent notices so they may never know what’s really going on until leaving CFO Rick. Scary!!!
As a side note, please note that CFO Rick does not have any CPAs in their office.
At the time I left , they had someone (I think a personal friend of Rick’s) on call part time if they needed a CPA’s signature.
I’m writing this review to warn others who may be considering using CFO Rick. Look elsewhere if you want honest, quality services.
