Received call stating am eligible for $5000 loan I called the number. The person on the other end stated it would cost me 2 deposits of $250. I asked for my information to be destroyed. I stated he is a scam. He proceeded to curse at me.

They have many different scams going on at once from the information I received. Their most recent one is “approving” you for a hefty loan to gain your banking information. At that point they go in and dispute claims to get money back from bills or expenses you have paid. Once the claims go through and the money is in your account they tell you the “test money” to see if your bank can handle a large amount of cash from their company is now in your account. Now obviously you have no idea this is going on since they stress how legitimate they are and that’s the only reason they would have your information. So they tell you the next step is to send them the test money back so you can receive your large loan. Luckily if you have bank alerts and credit alerts on, you can save yourself from horrific trauma. After you figure them out they will still try to do ATM transactions out of your account so make sure you lock it up immediately. They don’t care if you bust them and confront them on their scam, they will try to convince you otherwise and get the money any means necessary
