CAS Driving School

Highly do not recommend.

Most services charge the same amount to take the driver’s test to get a full license. I found that CAS Driving School  had the lowest price at $85 (others charge $140). Their website is so poorly designed both in execution and in their automated system to create appointments. The website has a services and rates section and I saw the “Road test vehicle usage (includes pickup)” and selected that. I thought it was a convenient feature to have someone pick you up then take the test. It will later turn out that their are hidden services with different fees.

Their software allowed me to make an appointment for a Monday, which some may know, but not all, that there are no road test services as the DMV is closed on Mondays. This was scheduled a month prior and it wasn’t until the morning of, as I awaited pickup, that someone actually called me and notify me that it was not possible. They luckily were able to reschedule me for later in the week Thursday. After taking the exam I was informed that the price would be $140, far more then I expected.

I asked why the price change and they informed me that the service I requested was a different rate. Something that was never told to me by either the CAS receptionist Tanya, or the driving instructor performing the test. When speaking to management they stated that the website clearly shows the cost of the service. Which our standard for clear must be different, as the actual prices is hidden in a tab named road test and not in the rates and services section. I explained to the manager that since this wasn’t clear to me that all I ask is for the difference in price returned since I had never even seen this option.

He then stated that when you make an appointment it shows the fee, which is at the bottom of  that page, so I had never actually seen it. Despite all this the manager just constantly repeated that it was my fault despite never choosing this service, have it be changed last minute, and then being rude and talked to disrespectfully for a website that was designed poorly, with pricing to manipulate customers. The manager had clearly dealt with this before and had plenty of responses as to why I was in the wrong. Highly do not recommend.

  1. Butler he has officially turned me off to this company I'm done .

Mr,Smith was very unprofessional and aggressive off the jump , instead of being patient with me very rude . He had me looking at everything but what was in front of me.

I had better lessons from people that are not instructors honestly. Ii had a better experience with Ms , Butler he has officially turned me off to this company I’m done

  2. Dont use This Company.

My wife took a driving class with CAS and it was a terrible experience for her. The driver one Mr Cheek was flirty and unprofessional. We are clearly disappointed with this driving school and have cancelled further appointments with them.

  3. Bad Service

Upon taking my road test last week with Mr. Charles Smith, I have to question the legitimacy of the reviews for CAS Driving School. First and foremost, his style of driving and what he expects of you, as a driver, is archaic to say the least. He rarely allows for you to accelerate.

He thinks that driving 10 mph in traffic is commonplace in the city. Mr. Smith’s sarcasm will likely make one a bit uncomfortable. I essentially ignored his forceful wit as he boast on and on about his credentials and defensive driving courses.

  4. I recommend calling and asking for Ms. Butler.

I recommend calling and asking for Ms. Butler. I chose her because I thought I’d be more comfortable with driving with another woman. When we first started everything was a mess on my part because of my fear of driving period. But she made me soooo comfortable and made the process of learning to drive on the street alot bareable.

I was so nervous when I went for my road I chewed on the gum she gave to calm down to the end of the test lol. My road test examiner was like “Where is Ms.Butler at? Cause Angel needs another piece of gum lol” Im glad I picked her as an instructor, she gave me, a non driver have the courage to learn and pass.
