Cano Real Estate

Customer Service

Cano Realty helped me purchase my third home in January.

Although I was impressed with the agent’s professionalism, I felt that she did not know enough about older properties and any issues they may have.

It was almost as if she didn’t know what I was asking and would stare at her phone.

She didn’t know much about the house that we were interested in.

We wanted to offer a lower price because the house needed work.

However, she said that it wasn’t a good idea.

You should also make sure you have your inspector if you’re buying an older house.

We trusted her and went with an inspector she had known for years.

Our plumber said that we need to replace the entire drainage system as some older homes have an 11/2 inch pipe for the laundry system.

This is why our WASHER FLOODS OUR LAUNDRY ROOM WITH EVERY WASH.

We cannot also wash dishes in the sink simultaneously because the laundry backs up every time we run a load.

This was also an issue in the house next door… the owner was forced to fix it, but not ours.

To correct this issue, it will cost us approximately $6,000. It would have cost us around $6,000 to fix this issue if the agent for the owner had disclosed it to us.

WE FOUND OUT LATER THAT THE OWNER KNEW ABOUT THIS BEFORE SELLING.

I told our agent about the situation, and she ignored me.

Hire an inspector to protect yourself and find out the most common problems with older homes.

Don’t trust your realtor. They are only in it to make a quick sale.

It was my first experience with a realtor inspector.

You don’t have to want the house, but you want it to pass inspection.
