The Most Unethical Real Estate

Wendy Atkinson with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Innovative Real Estate is easily one of the most unethical real estate “professionals” with whom I’ve worked since my wife and I, first-time home buyers with sterling credit and a healthy down payment, began looking earlier this year (2013).

Wendy served as the listing agent for a home we wanted to purchase.

Our offer–well over the listing price–was accepted by the sellers and we went forward with inspection.

The sellers backed out of the contract–using an obscure inspection resolution clause–because they had another, even higher cash offer that came in after ours.

After, mind you, we’d already dropped cash for the inspection and other loan-related expenses.

Wendy wouldn’t return our agent’s calls throughout the debacle.

If the rest of her agency is anything like her, avoid these folks at all costs.

    we will continue this with the law and the real estate commision.

    chris george one of the real estate agents of the inovated real estate group called our company and wanted us to fix a underground gas line, but when i got there he wanted to know how to do it so he can do it, i asked him for the payment of my visit,

    i spent one hour which is a service call, and he said he is not made of money, hammered the table and said he was not going to pay me. he continued to scream and called the police, which they came. he is a wacco, stay away from him. we will continue this with the law and the real estate commision.

    THIS is what you're dealing with.

    Most horrific experience of my family’s history. Wendy Highfield was the Realtor (with Innovative Real Estate Group) who represented the buyer of my house. When we were unable to move into our new house due to the previous renters destroying it and the Sheriff deeming it a biohazard we had days to find housing before closing during Christmas week.

    When I contacted her buyer about the possibility of backing out of the deal Wendy went to Innovate Real Estate Group’s President to push me to sell. We are a family of five with small children (who were in therapy and had to stay in the area for services) and we had no where to go especially being days away from Christmas.

    We were contacted by Innovative’s lawyer who threatened to sue and bankrupt us if we didn’t sell. Wendy at the time had another transaction happening with an investor. He was looking to find a renter for the house he was about to close on (two days after my closing). Rather than Wendy’s buyer renting out this home and leaving us alone we were FORCED out of our home during Christmas just so we can rent from her investor!

    AS HOMEOWNERS WE WERE FORCED TO SELL AND BECOME RENTERS! Outrageous!!! Innovative Real Estate was instrumental in this. The fact is Wendy would have not received commission immediately if the buyer of my home were to rent her investors house until they found another one which there was plenty to chose from at the time.

    We ended up packing our things on Christmas Day (we did not get to celebrate it) and moved out the next day. This has caused much suffering for me and my family including my children. I would NEVER recommend Wendy Highfield or Innovative Real Estate Group.

    THIS is what you’re dealing with. Yes, they had every legal right but I personally would NEVER push a family out of their home as they begged to keep it. It’s unfortunate we lost our new property but they made the situation completely worse.
