BB&T

SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL

Lake Martin Refinance Nightmare BB&T

Did a refinance on my lake Martin house with this bank. They had the worst customer service and the entire process was a nightmare. Lennie Ellis, loan officer from Montgomery & Wetumpka did not call me back for over a week causing the rate to increase. Lennie Ellis had tremendous lapses in communication, did not provide critical information to me delaying the process.

Lennie Ellis did not manage the loan process, for example she did not notice until the day of closing a critical approval was missing which caused the loan closing to delay. I had traveled 2.5 hours from Atlanta and given up a day of consulting revenue to be at the closing and she called me an hour prior to tell me it wouldn’t close because of her error.

It took a month to get an appraisal. The “system” they have continued to assign the appraisal to people that would need to travel over 4 hours to do it and they turned it down- each time the bank would raise the price $100 and get another ‘far away’ appraiser. Of course, the customer has no choice in the matter – I ended up paying $650 for an appraisal that should have cost $450 max and again – delayed the loan for over a month.

Lennie Ellis did not tell me until the DAY of the closing that my husband had to attend the closing and sign papers, ( I did not realize this as the loan is in my name only) and therefore, he had his schedule disrupted at the last minute as well.

Got to closing table FINALLY, and guess what? The HUD was wrong in two places. Not suprising.

Lennie Ellis was in the closing and to top it off, sat there and discussed with the attorney how she’d finally get paid on this loan and that she’d had a great month of revenue – SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL

BB&T would not do anything for me related to tanks of gas I spent, lost wages, higher rate, etc. I called supervisors Jimmy Parsons; who never returned calls – kinda like the loan officer.

BB&T is not the place for mortgage loans – they are very disorganized and have very negative customer service. Lennie Ellis should not be a loan officer.

  1. Let them go under!

Never use BB&T! They can alert you everyday to “their deals” but the time you let a loved one have your card (my mistake) the debit card isn’t denied after an overdraft of $100! They don’t mind charging you the overdraft fee each time, but did I hear from them as an alert? NOOOOO!!!!!

I’ve been with this branch through 4 owner changes. I’ve had $5,000 CD’s with them. This was the last straw. And I have direct deposit. Closed the account today. I guess all my money goes to fund their music center. Let them go under!
