Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology

Management

I went to Dr Andrea Hui for the treatment of rosacea and so far, it became much worse, I am allergic to the medicated cream that was prescribed. But these things happen. What I didn’t like about the overall experience: 1) the “make up” service offered post consult; the person who doubles for product management didn’t have basic skills to apply makeup.

It also would have been ok, if it wasn’t presented otherwise! I had her apply make up on me just to get horrified and having to take it off + redo it myself. If you don’t have the skills, please don’t do it! 2) the hard sell of $500 + for products that were not even necessary for me and my condition; 3) the literally 7 minute consult – the Dr’s body language definitely felt like she was in a rush and wasn’t interested in spending more time + leaving you feeling that you were not important. So… $700 later – no positive result and not a positive customer service experience.

  1. Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology Is Scammer.

Total disregard for your time, without apology. Waiting an hour seems to be the norm. Cares about your treatment in the beginning. Over time, quality of services wanes dramatically.

  2. I would not recommend this doctor.

I would not recommend this doctor. After waiting 45 minutes for a scheduled appointment I was told she would be at least another 20 minutes. They did not even have the courtesy to tell me she was running late. I had to ask. Very unprofessional service and what a shame on their part.

  3. I should have said I wanted botox. It is clear where she makes her money.

After a family member was diagnosed with melanoma I made an appointment with Dr. Welsh and waited three months to get in for a skin check. During the appointment Dr. Welsh told me if I wanted to do botox to call the office and she would take me the nextt day.

Priorities? Recently, I experienced adult acne. I called for an appointment and was told for acne the soonest she could fit me in was two months down the road. I should have said I wanted botox. It is clear where she makes her money.

  4. I have yet to have an appt.

I have yet to have an appt. with Dr. Welsh…..everything that I have heard about her has been great. However, I had a horrible experience with her office manager, Michelle. Dr. Welsh happened to schedule a day out of the office on the day of my scheduled appt.

I received no call or letter letting me know that she would not be in the office the day of my scheduled appt. As things come up I do not mind having an appt changed.

However, I do mind going into the office, and having the office manager insist that I was called and that a message was left. She even produced a spreadsheet to show me that I was called and that a message was left – it was odd. Clearly if a message had been left I would not have come in – that would be ridiculous. Michelle proceeded to be incredibly unpleasant, brusk and rude.

  5. i have gotten three rejuvenize peels here and the first two where great but the third one i barely peeled

i have gotten three rejuvenize peels here and the first two where great but the third one i barely peeled , i called them to tell them i barely peeled and the lady on the phone said that once i have alot of peels your skin doesnt peel as much and that is a lie because i have a friend who has had 7 rejuvenize peels done with a different MD and she always peeled alot so i am not going back there any more!

also they increased the price of there rejuvenize peel it about 4 months ago it was $200 and now its $250 for $250 i can go to this wonderful russian MD thats near downtown and she does VI peels (a much deeper peel) for $250

  6. Dr. Austin's acumen for medicine and patient care defines the standard for elite practice.

Dr. Austin is an elite specialist whose work shines with brilliance. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Austin to treat skin cancer patients. As a medical contractor, I have worked with countless dermatologists in the Bay Area and am uniquely qualified to deduce their skills in the area of micrographic surgery.

Dr. Austin would be the first dermatological surgeon I would personally reach out to perform Mohs surgery on myself or my loved ones. She takes immense pride and care in her work and it is inspiring for the medical staff and the community at large. I am deeply honored and privileged to be able to work with a Dr. who is truly a master of their craft. Dr. Austin’s acumen for medicine and patient care defines the standard for elite practice.
