Barg Family Clinic

An amazing experience

Normally have an amazing experience with Barg Family Clinic.  Today…will be the last day I ever call this office!

The ladies that work the phones are some of the most unknowledgeable, rude, and inconsiderate people I have ever dealt with! That says a lot with being from Little Rock.

Never again will myself, family, or friends go to this office until they hire better staff for answering phones and making appointments.

  1. who is the BOMB!

I’ve been using Dr. Roach for 1 year & unfortunately, he has not impressed me. He’s not as knowledgeable as my previous doctor & his “annual physical” consists of BP check, blood work & listening to my breathing. My previous doctor would also look in my mouth, ears, nose, check my reflexes, etc.

Then I had irregular results on my blood work (2 tests in a row) & I never received a call about getting additional tests to determine what’s going on. So, I have decided to make the drive to Conway, and start using my previous doctor again, who is the BOMB!

  2. hopefully the staff can work on being a little more timely and efficient.

I’ve been to this clinic several times to see Dr. Kittell and Dr. Irizarry for multiple sinus infections. One tells you to stay away from antihistimine, and the other says use it. They are quick to prescribe name brand meds, but not really research the issue. At one point they have prescribed one medicine, to counteract the side effects of the other medicines.

Then I saw Dr. Parsley when Dr. Kittell was out. I’m very glad I did. He at least made some headway on what was going on with me. He spent a lot of time going over my symptoms to try to help me. He ordered some tests and actually found an issue. Still waiting to hear back on another test.

I really don’t like how long the hold time is for an appointment, and when I had my labs drawn for my yearly exam, I waited three weeks, and had to call a few times to get my results. If I’m able to make Dr. Parsley my PCP, I will, and hopefully the staff can work on being a little more timely and efficient.

  3. Won't be going there again.

I was horrified when one of the desk clerks asked me from across the front lobby, my DOB & SS#. They need to read up on the HIPPA laws. Won’t be going there again.

  4. but it's not worth dealing with the incompetent staff.

For the first few years of my daughter’s life we loved going to see Dr. Roach. We still really like him and is he is a very kind and thoughtful physician. However, the staff there is HORRIBLE. I’ve been trying to get my daughter in for her well child checkup for over 2 months and they keep moving her appointment back.

The first time they told me my parents could bring her so I wouldn’t have to take off work, but when they went, the office refused to see her because a parent wasn’t with her (even though they told me I didn’t have to be there).

Then once I got her rescheduled, they called me a week later and said the doctor couldn’t see her at that time because he doesn’t do well-child check ups at that time. When they rescheduled the appointment they knew it was for a well child check up. I explained the situation, how they sent my parents away when they tried to bring her, but it didn’t help. So I decided to transfer her care to another physician.

  5. Got in here quickly and now I know why.

If I could give no stars I would. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a physicians office. I saw Dr McDonald because I was told he was the only one that took Medicare in this office. Terrible bedside manner. Went there to establish myself with a new family doctor and get refills on my medications plus I had some issues going on. He could have cared less about anything I had going on with my health.

He does not write prescriptions for pain meds. Wanted to send me to a pain quack. He could care less that I was almost out of my pain patch which is a medication that you cannot quit cold turkey. Also doesn’t write prescriptions for anxiety or sleep meds instead wanted me to see a phycologist. Wouldn’t fill several of my other meds. Wasted trip and wasted my time. I was told this was a caring group of doctors. Even their website was impressive but what I read and what I experienced was totally different.

He basically told me he wasn’t the doctor for me. All my meds except two I have been on for over twenty years. Don’t go here if you want a doctor that can take care of all your needs and not send you to a bunch of specialists. Now I have no pcp and no medications. Every doctors office I called had a six to eight week waiting time to see a doctor. Got in here quickly and now I know why.
