Associates In Women’s Health

Awful Experiences

I was a patient at East Wichita and had an awful experience. Doctor was ok, did a good job but it s very difficult to handle the staff.

Receptionists and back office staff were very rude. They behaved in an unprofessional way.

They constantly teased the patients, laughed of them behind their backs and commented on them.

Nurses were not compassionate, they were cold, incompetent, misinformed me instead informed me.

Nobody was accountable for nothing, there was absolutely no leadership or supervision, everybody did whatever they wanted to.

I can t unfortunately praise no one. Absolutely won t recommend, harassing patients shouldn t be part of their policy.

    Scammer

This medical practice has failed in its responsibility to provide timely medical care. I have been a patient for several years. My former doctor left in December 2015. I was referred to Dina Canavero who I saw three times, for annual check-up, a colposcopy and a biopsy.

I am an at-risk patient due to complicated medical history, of which Dr. Canavero was made aware. Last week I called on Monday at 9AM and informed the receptionist that at 65 years old I was bleeding and passing blood clots. She advised that they take this VERY SERIOUSLY and proceeded to ask me several in-depth questions. She reassured me that someone would contact me ASAP. At 4PM no one had called.

I called and was connected to Melissa, the doctors medical assistant. She was aware that I called but did not have any information. She asked all the same questions again and then advised me that Dr. Canavero was out and would not return until Tuesday and that she had an 8:30 am surgery. Tuesday afternoon I still had not heard from the office.

I called again, Melissa advised that as soon as the doctor reviewed the information she would advise me. It’s now a week later and I have not received a call.

    Bad Service

It’s truly sad. I was a patient there for 15 years and now my daughter is/was a patient. I loved the place and would put up with the seriously long wait times because I loved my Dr. who has since left for Kaiser. I will preface this by saying, I never had any health issues — just routine annual visits.

However, now, with my daughter, this place gives new meaning to “Manage your own health care.” My Daughter was admitted to the hospital by AWH. Her “condition” continues (almost a year now) and it has finally dawned on my that AWH either doesn’t care or doesn’t know what is wrong with her. We don’t get return calls on “important” blood results.

Dr. Sweeny does not communicate and does not appear to care at all about what is going on with my daughter’s health. The most frustrating and disappointing experience. I suppose its easy money doing annuals and not having to deal with medical issues.
