We turned in all the documents and ASF Insurance & Financial Services assured us he’ll be done in a week or two. He kept delaying and delaying and bringing excuses like he got sick etc, stopped responding to our phone calls and Emails. On the eve of tax deadline, we are not even sure he’ll file an extension, and he is not responsive. Seriously, avoid this person. Not slightly professional, cannot be trusted with something as sensitive as taxes. Just run and do not look back!
I got the below Email from Stephen. I mind you that he had not responded to our inquiry about the status of our return for a few days as we had tried Email and phone calls, but somehow responded in 30 seconds after I left this review. Make your own judgement about what kind of person you will be trusting your taxes with.
This happened on April 17, 2018 – the deadline for taxes. Agree with his assessment that it “was not a good fit” though. If your job is doing taxes and cannot meet the deadline and cannot communicate to reassure your clients, and instead you try to avoid them, it probably is not a good fit for anyone.
“Please come and collect your paperwork or I can mail it to you later. I will not be filing an extension for either of you. I understand your frustration. I was doing the best I can in trying to work with you. There is no issues with filing an extension. I prefer working with clients that can work good together and this was not a good fit.”
