DONT GO TO Anchorage Sleep Center! After moving to Anchorage from the lower 48, I was looking for a doctor that specializes in sleep studies due that I have sever sleep apnea, this is when I came across to Anchorage sleep center.
I have BCBS and ask the staff if they take my insurance and they said yes, at the time of appoinment they didn’t ask me for a deductible which i found kind of strange.
To make a long story short the doctor didn’t basically listen to me and gave me a prescription for XANAX to relax me while going to sleep and recommend me a new mask to take home.
I ask him if the mask was cover by my insurance and he said yes.
I didn’t make another appoinment because I had the impression that the doctor was trying to get rid of me as fast as possible to attend another patient.
They keep calling me back to make another appointment and obviously don’t get the hint that i would never step into that office again.
However it GET WORSE! After 4 months from the original appointment i get a letter in the bill from them billing me for the face mask for $450.00 WHATTTTT? NOT OK!
I call them to complained about this and they basically said that they didn’t care that i needed to pay the amount owe!
THIS LOOKS LIKE A SCAM TO ME! IM TIRED OF UNETHICAL DOCTORS! DONT GO TO THIS PLACE! this review will followed another review for a referral that I had from my doctor to go to another sleep center.
