The problem started when my loan was transferred from XPRESS loan services to American Education Services. At first, they charged me a 60 days late fee on my credit card and it was entirely a mistake from their accounts department. This mistake happened in 2011. Since then, it has been 7 years and I am paying for their mistake.

When the loan was transferred they forgot to put me on an auto payment. I immediately contacted them to get the matter sorted. But, I was later hit by a 60 day late charges. This was never resolved.

Again, in 2012, I closed my student loan account by paying them in full the balance that was remaining. However, I started getting calls in March 2017 about the amount that was left to be paid and I was again 60 days late in making the payments. They have reported it to the three bureaus. Again, in Jan 2018, they reported that my account was closed.

I am trying my best to resolve all these matters and there should not have been any reporting for the period of 2012-2017, but they did. It was their clerical error and I was tortured with the calls and other issues.

I am all the time making calls and trying to reach their accounts department, but there is no resolution provided yet. I am also worried about my credit score that they have gotten worse by making mistakes.

Whenever I call these people, they behave as if I am the one making mistakes all the time and they are innocent. This has become a chain for their accounting glitches. It is unacceptable to face the troubles that they created. The account that was long back closed in 2012, how can be reported for non-payment n 2018. What are these guys upto?

It is irritating to hear them talking top of my words while I was trying to request them for checking the accounting details and getting me an answer. I was going to refinance my home, but because of them hurting my credit score, now I see this close to impossible.

I have plans and these guys are behind my a**. This is frustrating to know how companies put their clients in trouble and do not even try to settle things for good. I am sure they have made other mistakes too.

All the reports speaking against them cannot be fake. These guys are in danger. If they keep doing so, soon they will be forced to shut down. I myself, will seek legal aid if they do not resolve the matter at the earliest.

AES has a lot to learn, but while they are still coping with their terms and business plans, why don’t they give their customers some rest. They should take a break and learn how to do some maths. They are ripping people and their credit score because they do not know how to calculate. Is this how a loan company works? What a shame?
