Alpine Mortgage Planning

The Biggest Waste Of My Time

Alpine Mortgage Planning was the Biggest waste of my time.

The initial phone consultation is okay but you get handed off to there assistant.

I spend 2-3 months only to get denied a mortgage because they felt in there opinion that i should have made mortgage payments on my last loan even though i proved hardship.

They gave me a complete run around and told me that i originally would be approved for a loan if i can prove that my job forced me out of state.

They told me to provide documentation proving that I was working out of state.

It took a lot of my time to get this only for them to tell me after that they think i should have made my mortgage payments before a short sold on my last loan.

If they only knew that the only frickin way i could short sell back then was to stop making payments.

When alpine mortgage is done with you they are done.

I spent so much time dealing with these guys and it was a terrible experience.

  1. I highly recommend Maria & Alpine Mortgage!

I worked with Maria Cowie to finance my home purchase. She was incredibly efficient and was extremely patient with me with my complicated international financial package.

She would not let any obstacle prevent me from getting my financing approved and I am so grateful for her persistence and assertiveness. She communicated frequently and was happy to take my calls anytime. Maria was so amazing I am already back to her for another refinance. I highly recommend Maria & Alpine Mortgage!

  2. I might add without ever losing his cool or temper.

I’m a Realtor and worked side by side with Tyler McMahon. After receiving last minute news from the bank on a short sale, we were given 15 days to close up a VA loan.

Tyler got right to work and he brought in the funding a day early. I have never seen a Mortgage Broker work that quickly to get their client into a home. And I might add without ever losing his cool or temper.

  3. I would strongly recommend considering this post.

Just my opinion, decide for yourself -knowing there are two sides to every story. I am completely unhappy with my experience with Alpine/Pinnacle Mortgage. In a nutshell the Mortgage adviser was unavailable and slow to return emails/ phone calls etc. as soon as I had signed and commited with his company.

He asked me for the same form three times and said he did not have it until I called him on it–wow it was in my email he said. In fact it didn’t get better until I called the Branch manager and complained. They ordered an apprasial and didnt inform anyone the power needed to be on. How could we do that when we didnt hire the appraiser or know until the last moment when he would be at the property. All the while they tried to blame my realtor for things going south instead of accepting their responsibility in the situation.

Also the underwriters they work with were overly nitpicky resulting in delay of funding of my loan. Keep in mind this was no fault on my end. While it may seem like a small problem the result was that it cost me hundreds of extra dollars in a reappraisal fee and extension with the selling party.

And they sold the mortgage so quickly after the close that my first payment has been cashed by them but doesn’t show up on the new mortgage company paperwork at this point. So I need to pay the new mortgage company this month just to make sure I don’t get dinged because of their business transaction. I would strongly recommend considering this post.

  4. I would refer my clients to him in a second.

This is a continuation of my previous reviews. Mr. Kirk Faulkner (Branch Manager for Alpine Mortgage) did exactly as he said he would to resolve my complaints. You have to appreciate it when someone follows through on what they say with actions and that is exactly what he did in a very timely manner as well.

I appreciate the fact that he cares enough about the customer experience that even after the final paperwork is signed he is willing to be proactive and take care of the customer.

  5. Wish that I could give less than one star because they don't even deserve that!

Most mortgage brokers give a range of 4 to 6 weeks to close on a FHA loan. As the seller, Alpine Mortgage took 58 days from the initial offer made on my home.

As the seller, this resulted in me paying rent on an empty apartment while waiting for the closing on my home, as well as another month of fees on my mortgage. With both the buyer’s agent and Alpine Mortgage making excuses and finger pointing,

this is not an experience I would wish on my worst enemy. Wish that I could give less than one star because they don’t even deserve that!
