Allstate Insurance

Allstate lied to me about the insurance policy cost to trick me into buying it

When I contacted Allstate insurance to get a quote for the auto insurance, they informed that to avail discounts, I will have to pay in full for the insurance policy. They said that the premium would be lower after buying the policy at once. I was convinced and bought the auto insurance from Allstate by paying them in full.

I got a call from them after four months. It was a different agent from the one I talked while buying the policy. He informed that I would have to pay premium for the uninsured motorist. I asked for an explanation and told them that my agent said that there won’t be any hidden or extra cost for next 11 months. I mailed him the details. I tried to convince him with all that I could to understand the confusion. However, after an hour of debating, we did not come to a conclusion. He said that Allstate insurance had informed me about it at the start and I was the one to continue with the policy even after that. So, it was my mistake and I would have to pay them. According to him, he had spoken with my agent and he had the same thing to say.

I was surprised to see the audacity of the company to lie me on my face. I asked them to play the recording of the call with my agent that happened when I bought the policy. I knew that the sales calls are recorded and tried to put my point through. However, he denied doing so.

After I refused to pay them the extra premium, the agent from Allstate insurance said that he would terminate my policy two months before the policy expiry date. It was all they could do. It sounded as if they were doing favour to me. In reality, they scammed me.

We had to approach another insurance company two months before our policy expiring date to get my cars insured. They did not stop at that. They sent me the final bill with cancellation charge when they should have refunded the two-month’s premium. The did not find it unethical to send me the auto collection notice incase I refused to pay them the cancellation charge.

I was robbed and back stabbed by Allstate insurance company. They did not provide the service I was entitled to get. This insurance company is a fraud and the worst in the entire state. It has the unethical selling and dealing techniques. If you wish to have a stress-free insurance claims and renewals, stay away from this scam. Allstate would get you into a lot of trouble sooner or later. You can find number of scams listed on the web for their exploitation.
