AI Beahn will take your money and simply ignore you
On February 27, 2019, I contracted with Al Beahn of Pioneer Homes, LLC to rehab a single-family home at Detroit MI.
I deposited $13960 with this company and was told the rehab would take 60-90 days to complete. However, for the past year, I have received no communication from this company.
I was not until Jan 24, 2020, that I received communication indirectly from Pioneer Homes that my money was placed in a general rehab account that Pioneer Homes used for all their rehab work.
My money was comingled with other customers’ money. As explained to me, one of Pioneer Homes subcontractors had access to this account and used all the money for cost overruns on other projects.
Therefore, the account is now depleted of funds and there is no money available for my contracted work. Further, while the house sat empty, a squatter took up residence and caused an additional $6000 in damage.
I have had the squatter removed and secured the property, but at this point, I have a home that is inhabitable and I am out of the money allocated for the rehab. I have never heard directly from any representative of Pioneer Homes or their agents.
Finally, I have been told via a third party, the company intends to go out of business because they are having the same issue with multiple customers.
Al Beahn has tried to indicate the home I purchased was from Bayshore Capital which is a different company that Pioneer Homes, but Al owns both companies.
This is a trick to try and hide his fraudulent activity.
Public Apology to Al Beahn
On April 25th I posted a comment to this post making comments regarding Al that were fueled by an insecurity, lack of communication, and displacement of frustration and anger on my part. Without justifiable reason and without having utilized appropriate channels first, I took to this forum to sensationalize a personal and business matter.
I ask readers of my previous comment to understand that the frustration and anger that fueled that comment does not overshadow the previous professional and financially beneficial relationship Al and I had had up to that point nor should it overshadow or negate the positive instances that Al has helped me with. For instance, when the property that I had purchased from him was alleged to have needed work done to it that the then-property manager had said needed work, Al took ownership of the work and covered the cost of the repairs out of his pocket long after the property had been transferred to me.
Given current conditions emotions run high and I’m clearly one who let those emotions run high and I flippantly denigrated the business ability, history, and passion that Al has for real estate and made it all about my personal problem.
For that I apologize to the readers, this forum, and most importantly to Al for the damage that my words cause.
I have asked that my previous comment be removed- however in case that it isn’t, I want this apology to try to negate my hateful and hurtful comment.
Al Beahn Screwed Me Also
Al Beahn screwed me also. We had an agreement that I would lend him money for his real estate projects. Now he’s almost a month late in paying me the money and everytime I email him asking what the deal is he always makes up some nonsense that either his CFO is working on a payment plan, or he’s working on a plan, or that he processed a payment and he’ll come up with a plan.
He’s either a dumb businessman or he’s dirty.
