Advocate Tax Worldwide

Waste Of Time And Money

Advocate Tax Worldwide literally has no clue what they are doing. My husband took off work to meet with Christine one morning 1.5 months before tax due date to finish up an extension we filed b/c we were missing one form from his business.

I sent her everything the meeting to review beforehand so we could answer any questions she’d have.

She decided to do a computer update that morning which caused her computer to be locked.

She didn’t review or print anything off for the meeting.

My husband was there for almost 2 hrs and got nothing accomplished, except watching her computer update.

Waste of time #1. Took off work 2 more times to meet with Brett (things that could have been discussed over the phone).

He not only filed our taxes late, but they were wrong too.

He said they would try to fix with the IRS, but in the mean time interest was stacking up b/c of the late filing.

Communication is practically non-existent with them.

We are still fighting with the IRS for LAST YEAR taxes and paying late/interest fees b/c of them.

Do not waste your time here unless you want to waste your money!

  1. Scammer

Christine at Advocate Tax was Not AMAZING to work with–professional, kind, skilled and humorous. She helped us make major steps on our tax puzzle when we were at our wits’ end.

We were so relieved to have someone we could trust to guide us through our worries. We will definitely refer AT to our friends and be back come tax time!

  2. These people are the most unprofessional,

After doing a lot of research, we decided to go with Brett and Christine at Advocate Tax. Our taxes were not straight forward and we needed a lot of professional help. Christine seemed so caring and interested in our case when I spoke with her the first time on the phone. She quoted us a very fair price, so we turned our tax documents over to them at their Lakewood office. After 2 months of Brett and Christine having our tax documents, they had not done a single thing to get our taxes filed! They let the IRS due date of April 18th, 2016 come and go and said that they filed an extension on our behalf because they had not yet figured out how to proceed with our taxes. After everything was said and done (late June before they completed our tax returns) the IRS came after us for taxes that we owed and added penalties because, guess what? Brett and Christine NEVER filed an extension! These people are the most unprofessional,

delayed, and rude accountants we have ever worked with. They are complete liars and failed to get our taxes done on time. Please, heed this warning, do not trust their sweet, genuine-sounding voices – they don’t follow through, are impossible to get a hold of, never return phone calls or emails, and change their mind on the fees that they will charge.

  3. Worst Ever.

Took literally months to even return calls, they didn’t get back to me until I asked for a refund. Made mistakes. Showed up to meetings late or cancelled. I had to have an actual professional review and fix my taxes.

I wish I had just balled up all of my receipts and forms, duct taped it together and stapled a few bills to the outside of the ball and sent that to the IRS instead. It would have been more coherent than anything that came out of this office.
