AA Auto Warranty
AA Auto’s warranty is a scamLast year August, I paid for the auto warranty to the AA Auto Warranty. The warranty stated that the coverage was for my engine transmission and differential. As per the contract, the warranty was from the date I made the payment for the same. Now, it was in September that I called these guys.
Last year August, I paid for the auto warranty to the AA Auto Warranty. The warranty stated that the coverage was for my engine transmission and differential. As per the contract, the warranty was from the date I made the payment for the same. Now, it was in September that I called these guys.
The reason was by vehicle was broke in the middle of the road and I was not able to commute. When I told them about the wreck, they asked me to contact the towing company for getting the vehicle towed to the nearest dealer.
I was in an impression that they covered the towing as well. However, I called the company and paid them $300 for getting my vehicle to the service dealer. This is not it. Not only the towing fees, but all the efforts I had to put in making them start the claim was too disappointing.
It took them several weeks to approve the start of the claim. In those days, I was regularly calling them and visiting their office for lots of paper work and reminders. Later, they started the claim process and my vehicle was just parked, entirely broke at the station.
After 15 days, they agreed to send someone from the agency to take a look at the problem and understand the cause for the problem. The man tore down the transmission to find the actual cause. Again, after 10 days, they said that the adjuster would take a look at the condition and will approve the final cost that they would be paying.
The dealer of the service station called me after the adjuster checked the vehicle and said that AA Auto Warranty had rejected the claim. They provided the reason that the problem was because of the normal wear and tear that had happened from the use of the vehicle that had exceeded the normal life of the vehicle.
This reason was a rip off. When I asked for the warranty and paid for it, they had noted the mileage on my vehicle. If this was the case and the transmission was already out of the warranty age, why did they accept my money.
The company also told me that they would not cover the cost of towing, rentals, diagnostics or anything pertaining to the damage. I called them several times to understand their terms as I was given a completely different overview when I went for the warranty.
The agent had made it sound like the best policy covering everything. If I had known how these people cheat clients, I would have never paid them for the warranty. This is completely disgusting. I have no words to explain the disappointment I went through.
AA Auto Warranty did not even try to make things right or made any attempts to make me assured of the later services that were included. I tried to ask for a refund of the policy, but they seem deaf at my request.
