After getting an original estimate, I returned to bring in a family heirloom to have restored. He began telling me the things “he never told me he would fix” and then talking about a “materials cost”. I was concerned that his original estimate did not include this cost and felt I was being yanked around, so my husband and I left. When we got home, there was a rude, accusatory three minute rant on our answering machine, where he told me that he was glad I “showed him my other side” and was not his customer anyway, etc., etc.. The scary thing is, I never gave him my number or my name, he got it off his caller ID! The guy obviously has anger issues, I am so glad I never left anything of value with him.
