The Worst Experience Ever
I have dealt with Marcie from West Oahu Realty and have had the worst experience ever. I’m gonna be honest, she was LATE for the viewing, she said she was 10 minutes aways showed up 30 minutes later, and just had a bad attitude.
My husband and I viewed the 1 bedroom unit at Woodwinds and it wasn’t clean.
We figured it was something we can do ourselves. We took an application filled it out and turned it in with our $40 application fee.
We didn’t hear back from them for a week. I left messages at the office since Marcie didn’t return any calls, voicemails, text messages and emails (yes I tried all those routes because I thought something wasn’t going through).
A few days after I spoke to the manager of the realty and explained we needed to know the update if we were getting the unit or not since we had other options and would like to put in more applications.
When she called me she yelled at me saying I was late turning in the application, She doesn’t text, email, or call her clients all the time because she has other units.
I understand you can be busy as a property manager but a week of no call? RIGHT! than she proceeds to say she has other responsibilities like caring for her mother.
We all have personal responsibilities but if you can’t manage your schedule maybe you should get an assistant or not take on so much! I have never been yelled at over the phone by a property manager.
I decided that I was not going to go through with it before we heard back from her about the application.
If I’m having trouble getting a hold of you just during the application process, just imagine if I had problems in the unit! A leak, a plumbing problem etc.
I’d hate to hear back from her in weeks! Nasty way to represent a company.
Ps. If you own the 1 bedroom unit at the Woodwinds she’s the reason your unit is still not being rented out.

I highly recommend against using the services of West Oahu Realty.
After I moved out of an apartment managed by Mr. Danny Dagdagan of West Oahu Realty, I received a Move Out/Closing Statement including a $500.00 deduction (my initial security deposit was $1,100) for cleaning charges and repairs (this in spite of leaving the apartment in immaculate condition).
In violation of The Hawaii Residential Landlord-Tenant Code (Chapter 521, Section 44(c)), I was not provided any receipts for said charges, nor was I provided remainder of my security deposit within 14 days of my move out date.
When I brought this information to the attention of Mr. Dagdagan I was told I should have better annotated the Property Condition Form. I lived in the aforementioned apartment for more than three years, paid over $40,000 in rent on time, never had any complaints,
cleaned the apartment thoroughly before I moved out, and in return West Oahu Realty charges me $500, without proof of how that money was spent. I highly recommend against using the services of West Oahu Realty.
