On 10/8/2016, I reached out to US Fast Lube and had my oil change. On October 22nd I then traveled to Orangeburg SC to watch a football game. While I was driving my check engine light came on. When I got to Orangeburg the car started to drive funny. So, I parked the car to know for sure what was going on.
After that, the next morning I checked the oil and there was very little in there. I then cranked the car to check the transmission fluid. When I did, the little oil that was left came out. I had got my car towed to firestone. They told me that the oil filter was not properly installed. They then tightened the filter and filled it up.
Then on 10/24/2016, I took the car to Griffin Brothers. They advised me that there was a ticking sound coming from the engine but they were not able to fully check it out so they suggested me taking it to Nissan. I also had conversion with the owner of Fast Lube who asked if I could first bring the car to him.
So, I took the car to him on 10/25/16. He cranked it and said that they did nothing wrong, he also said they have a video of the filter being fitted. I said that I was not disputing that it was not put on. I said that two shops had suggested me that it wasn’t placed on properly. So I then asked for the number to their corporate office. He then rudely told me that there was no corporate office that they did not have any insurance also told me that I can sue them.
So whatever, I called the police to file a complaint because he denied giving me a copy of the receipt. When the police officer asked for a copy of the receipt he said those were sent to the corporate office after telling me that there was none. He is now refusing to cover the expenses that I have paid.
