The Equitable Finance Company

The Worst Company

The Equitable Finance Company is the worst company out there my credit wasn’t the greatest but I was trying hard to work on it I got a car loan with them I made sure to get GAP and an extended warranty.

I always paid my loan on time and never missed a payment My car was totaled in December I had to continue to make the payment instead of them applying the gap or the extended warranty to the car !

I ask many times for this to be done and this never happened… I finally received a check for the gap coverage but said I had no warranty left on the engine.

Because of my miles they do shotty business don’t if you can help it get a loan through them

  1. Scammer

Have an issue with one of the senior collectors whose name is Zach (stated over a phone call). Not only Is my situation with my vehicle not handles properly, but also these were the multiple threats which were made over the phone:

    1. Discrimination: using my age as a weapon to use it against me over the phone.

    2. Racial abuse/racism: using and assuming myself as a type A personality, just because I am giving an offer to the bank.

    3. Very abuse and verbal insult: using words such as “not intelligent” and “stupid, as well as very aggressive and hostile behavior to me (who is a customer of the bank).

This phone call occurred on February 7th,, with a phone number of 503-826-5434 (extension 1013, eventually transferred to Zach). Conversation lasted about 35 minutes.

I am severely demoralized, hurt, absurd, troubled, and discriminated against by Zack who is a senior collections employee of Equitable Finance.

  2. This company has fraudulently used my social security number causing identity theft problems several times.

This company has fraudulently used my social security number causing identity theft problems several times. I have called multiple times to rectify the issue and they refuse to do anything to stop it. I do not recommend putting your trust in these people. Thank goodness for lifelock.

  3. If I had my choice I wouldn't have even given them 1 star

Equitable is horrible. The store in Eugene was only open for a couple of months. They sold us an unemployment policy for $700 that was worthless. As my husband was laid off work. We called them to let them know our situation and they were zero help.

And after only being 30 days late they served us with small claims papers. SHITY service I would say. Definitely will never use them again nor would I recommend anyone else use them. If I had my choice I wouldn’t have even given them 1 star
