The Arlington Bank

Horrible Customer Service

The Arlington Bank’s customer service for mortgages is absolutely horrible.

Brian Hitchcock promised to have paperwork to me four different occasions and didn’t follow through.

Not even a “Hey sorry I’ll have it to you by tomorrow”- just nothing.

Ignored emails and even had the nerve to hit the ignore button on his cell… Maybe you get good customer service if you’re borrowing more than I am- but his unprofessional behavior may cause me to have to break my contract.

  1. It's NOT electronic

Arlington Bank is friendly. And, if you’re a Upper Arlington, Grandview person, they are quite convenient.

A CAUTION on their BILL PAY service – it can be quite deceptive. Recently they have started debiting your account right away for most bills. That’s was expected since when I set up the vendor, the service “We know this vendor and have set up a way to remit the payment in the most efficient manner. ”

The money comes out of your account right away so you think – this is electronic – Good! It’s NOT electronic – not unless it says so after you look for and read the fine print on that vendor.

Many still go by snail mail check – AFTER Arlington Bank takes your money from your account and HOLDS on to it a couple days. You may think your vendor was paid when the money was withdrawn, but I found the hard way, via finance charges, that’s simply not true.
